Things on the work front have still been incredibly busy, but I’m so lucky to have such a supportive husband and friends to help keep me going. With the little free time I find outside of work, I’m trying to keep up with my commissions and monthly drawing challenges, aside from house chores and things. My husband and I spend a little time relaxing each week by playing Star Craft 2. I’m loving the new Zerg co-op commander, Egon Stetmann. I really only play Zerg, so this new commander was super exciting for me to learn. He’s super versatile too.

Back in May, a group of friends approached me about doing the #Mermay drawing challenge, which even though I only did a few, was fun to participate in. For the month of June, I’m having some fun with the #PokemonJunery, with a list of drawing themes details out your own Pokemon OC’s journey. I chose Slowpoke cuz I feel like I relate to it a lot lately.

Oh, I forgot to mention it in my May post, but it was my 2nd year anniversary. Happy anniversary, my love <3 We’ve come a long way, and we still have many more adventures to go.

These past few months have been very busy. Aside from the daily grind of life and work, I’ve been busy creating some new pieces for Genesis: Battle of Champions the card game. Above is a sample of one of the promotional cards featuring the champion Idiris.

The interesting thing about this piece is that it was all drawn on the new iPad pro using the Apple Pencil. Photoshop was only used to touch up some lighting and contrast after the piece was finished, but all the illustration, flame effects, background were drawn in Procreate.
